Legal Information

Last updated: 26 October 2026

This is the legal information page for charmixa. It explains who operates this website, the statutory disclosures that a commercial business established in the United Kingdom must publish, and the rules that apply when you access or use the site. It is written in plain English so that you can see at a glance who you are dealing with and on what terms. It sits alongside, and should be read together with, our Privacy Policy, our Cookie Policy, our Terms and Conditions and our Payment and Refund Policy, each of which forms part of the same legal framework. Where a signed contract, quotation or order confirmation contains terms that differ from this page, the terms of that contract prevail for the goods or services it covers.

1. The identity of the website operator

This website is published, owned and operated by Finepoint Broadcast Limited. In this page, the words "we", "us" and "our" mean Finepoint Broadcast Limited. The website is presented to visitors under the name charmixa.

Finepoint Broadcast Limited is a private company limited by shares, incorporated and registered in England and Wales under the Companies Act 2006. Its activities include the supply, sale, hire, installation, integration, servicing and technical support of professional broadcast, studio and production equipment, together with the associated advice and project work that accompanies those activities.

We are the controller of this website and we are responsible for the material published on it. We are also the trader responsible for any goods or services that you order from us through the site or as a result of using the site. If you deal with one of our suppliers, partners or third-party manufacturers, that organisation is responsible for its own content and its own contractual commitments, not us.

1.1 Legal form and registration details

  • Legal name of the operator: Finepoint Broadcast Limited
  • Legal form: private company limited by shares
  • Company Registration Number: 01786138
  • Place of registration: England and Wales
  • Registering authority: Companies House, the United Kingdom registrar of companies
  • Registered office: Suite 18, 2nd Floor, Building 6, Hercules Way, Warner Bros Studios Leavesden, Watford, WD25 7GS

The company number and jurisdiction of incorporation allow any visitor to verify our existence and our public filing history through the register maintained by Companies House. Company records, including details of directors and filed accounts, are available to the public for inspection in the ordinary way.

1.2 Tax identifiers

We are registered for Value Added Tax in the United Kingdom. Where VAT is chargeable on a supply, it is added to the price at the rate in force at the time of supply and shown separately on the invoice. Our VAT registration number is printed on every tax invoice we issue and can be confirmed at any time by asking our team. Business customers established in the European Union who provide a valid VAT registration number may, where the rules allow, be invoiced without United Kingdom VAT; goods shipped outside the United Kingdom may also be exempt from United Kingdom VAT and will be accompanied by a commercial invoice to assist customs clearance. Nothing in this page overrides the tax treatment that applies by law to a particular transaction.

1.3 Responsible representatives

The business and affairs of Finepoint Broadcast Limited are managed by its board of directors, who are the persons responsible for the content published on this website and for the conduct of the company. The names of the current directors are recorded at Companies House. Formal documents, including any legal notice or claim, may be served on the company at its registered office.

1.4 Contact details

Our published contact details are:

  • Email: pg@productionguild.com
  • Telephone: +44 (0)20 3427 4400
  • Address: Suite 18, 2nd Floor, Building 6, Hercules Way, Warner Bros Studios Leavesden, Watford, WD25 7GS

You may also reach us through the contact form on our Contacts page. The contact form asks you for your own name, email address and message so that we can reply to you; it does not publish any personal contact information belonging to anyone else.

2. Statutory disclosures required of a United Kingdom business

Under the Companies Act 2006 and the Company, Limited Liability Partnership and Business (Names and Trading Disclosures) Regulations 2015, a United Kingdom company must disclose specified information. This includes the company's registered name, its registered number, the part of the United Kingdom in which it is registered, and the address of its registered office. Those disclosures must appear on the company's websites, on its business letters, order forms, order confirmations and similar business documents, and in communications such as emails sent in the course of business.

Because this website is operated commercially, the same disclosures must be accessible from it, easily, directly and permanently, without the visitor having to search for them. The Electronic Commerce (EC Directive) Regulations 2002, as they continue to apply in the United Kingdom, require an information society service provider to make its name, its geographic address and its email address readily available, together with its registration number where it is registered in a public register. The Provision of Services Regulations 2009 impose comparable requirements on service providers, including the supply of a service address and information about any complaint or redress procedure.

So that these obligations are met in one place, the following information is published on this page and repeated in the footer that appears on every page of charmixa:

  • Company Registration Number: 01786138
  • Place of Registration: England and Wales
  • Registered Office: Suite 18, 2nd Floor, Building 6, Hercules Way, Warner Bros Studios Leavesden, Watford, WD25 7GS

If any of these details change, we will update this page and the footer promptly and, in any event, within the period allowed by law.

3. Registered office, trading address and how to reach us

3.1 Registered office

Our registered office is Suite 18, 2nd Floor, Building 6, Hercules Way, Warner Bros Studios Leavesden, Watford, WD25 7GS. This is the address at which official documents may be served on Finepoint Broadcast Limited and at which the statutory registers are kept or made available.

3.2 Principal place of business

Our principal place of business, where goods may be inspected or collected and where customers may meet our team by appointment, is also shown as Suite 18, 2nd Floor, Building 6, Hercules Way, Warner Bros Studios Leavesden, Watford, WD25 7GS. Visitors are asked to arrange an appointment before travelling, because our staff are frequently working on customer premises, in studios, in galleries or at live events.

3.3 How to contact us

  • Email: pg@productionguild.com
  • Telephone: +44 (0)20 3427 4400
  • Post and in person: Suite 18, 2nd Floor, Building 6, Hercules Way, Warner Bros Studios Leavesden, Watford, WD25 7GS

Messages sent through the contact form on our Contacts page are dealt with in the same way as email. We aim to acknowledge enquiries promptly, and to give a substantive reply within a reasonable period, but we do not guarantee a response time for general enquiries. Where a contract sets out a formal notice procedure, that procedure must be followed for anything that has legal consequences, such as a cancellation, a claim or a notice of default.

4. Purpose, scope and intended audience of the website

charmixa is a professional resource dedicated to studio production in motion. It covers the practical craft and the technical detail of studio equipment setup, dynamic camera operation, lighting and the behaviour of sound waves, and the creation of smooth, high-quality workflows for television news and live shows. The site is intended to help broadcasters, production companies, streaming services, houses of worship, education providers and freelance crew understand how equipment should be configured, operated and maintained to achieve reliable results under pressure.

Our audience is primarily professional and trade users in the United Kingdom and, where the subject matter is relevant, internationally. The site is written for adults working in or training for the industry. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from children through it.

Some visitors will be consumers acting wholly or mainly outside their trade, business, craft or profession. Nothing on this website removes or reduces any right that a consumer has under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or any other consumer protection legislation. Where this page refers to commercial or business-to-business arrangements, it does not imply that consumer visitors lose their statutory protection.

5. Access to the website and acceptable use

You may access, browse and read charmixa free of charge. We may add, change, withdraw or restrict any part of the site, and any ordering or hire facility offered through it, at any time and without notice.

When using the site you must not:

  • break any applicable law or regulation, or use the site for an unlawful, fraudulent or misleading purpose;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site, to any server on which it is hosted, or to any connected system or database;
  • introduce viruses, malware, ransomware or any other harmful material, or take any action designed to damage, overload, disable or impair the site;
  • use automated tools, crawlers, scrapers or harvesting programs to extract content, pricing or contact data at scale, except with our prior written consent;
  • copy, reproduce or republish a substantial part of the site, or use it to build a competing product, service or dataset;
  • remove or obscure any copyright, trademark or other proprietary notice;
  • use the contact form to send unsolicited advertising, chain messages or abusive, defamatory, obscene or discriminatory content; or
  • misrepresent your identity or your affiliation with any organisation when contacting us or placing an order.

We reserve the right to suspend or block access to the site, to refuse to process an enquiry or order, and to report unlawful activity to the relevant authorities or hosting provider, where we reasonably believe that these rules have been breached. We also reserve the right to recover the reasonable costs of remedying any damage caused by a deliberate or reckless breach.

6. Ownership and permitted use of content, trademarks and other intellectual property

All content published on charmixa is protected by copyright, database rights, design rights and other intellectual property rights. This includes written guides, technical notes, diagrams, photographs, video and audio material, illustrations of equipment setup and camera positions, lighting and audio techniques, and the layout, design and underlying code of the site. Unless we say otherwise, the copyright and database rights in the site are owned by Finepoint Broadcast Limited or are licensed to us by their owners.

The names Finepoint Broadcast Limited, charmixa and our logos, together with any associated trade names and service marks, are our property or are used by us under permission. Other product, equipment and manufacturer names that appear on the site are the trademarks of their respective owners and are used for identification and descriptive purposes only. Their appearance does not imply any endorsement, partnership or sponsorship unless we state expressly that it does.

You may:

  • view, browse and read the site in the ordinary way;
  • print or download a single copy of individual pages for your own internal, non-commercial reference or for genuine internal training within your organisation; and
  • quote short extracts, with clear attribution to charmixa, in academic work, internal documentation, reviews or professional discussion.

You may not, without our prior written permission, copy, republish, distribute, sell, rent, sub-license, mirror, frame or systematically extract a substantial part of the site or its content, or use it to train, fine-tune or otherwise develop automated systems, except where such use is permitted by law. Requests for permission, licensing or syndication should be sent to pg@productionguild.com.

If you believe that content on this site infringes your copyright, trademark or other right, please write to pg@productionguild.com with enough detail for us to identify the material and your right in it. We will investigate promptly and will remove or amend material where it is right to do so.

7. Accuracy, availability and proportionate limits of liability

We take care in preparing technical and editorial content about studio production, camera operation, lighting, audio and workflow design. Even so, practical results depend on equipment versions, firmware, room acoustics, power quality, network conditions, operating practice and many other variables that we cannot control. Content is therefore provided for general professional guidance and training. It is not a substitute for the manufacturer's current documentation, for a site-specific risk assessment, or for competent on-site supervision.

We aim to keep the site accurate and available, but we do not promise that it will always be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free, or that defects will be corrected immediately. Access may be suspended for maintenance, upgrades, security work or events beyond our reasonable control, including network failures, power interruptions, third-party hosting problems and acts of God.

Nothing in this page excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for any breach of the terms implied by section 12 of the Sale of Goods Act 1979 or section 2 of the Supply of Goods and Services Act 1982, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted. Nothing here affects the statutory rights of a consumer.

Subject to the paragraph above, and to the extent permitted by law:

  • we are not liable for any loss that was not reasonably foreseeable when the site was used, or for any loss that no reasonable person in our position would have anticipated;
  • where you use the site as a business, we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss or corruption of data, loss of anticipated savings, business interruption, or any indirect or consequential loss;
  • where you use the site as a business, our total liability arising out of or in connection with the site and any free content on it is limited to one hundred pounds sterling; and
  • our liability in respect of goods or services that you purchase or hire from us is governed by the contract between us and by our Terms and Conditions, which set out the applicable remedies and limits in detail.

8. External links and third-party content

The site may refer to third-party resources, including equipment manufacturers, standards bodies, studios, events, training providers, software tools and regulatory guidance. Where the law requires it, references are given in plain text rather than as live links.

Third-party sites and materials are not under our control. We do not endorse, verify or take responsibility for their content, accuracy, availability, security or privacy practices, and we are not responsible for any loss arising from your use of them. If you follow a reference to an external resource, you do so at your own risk and you should read the terms and privacy notices that apply to that resource. Any interaction you have with a third party, including any purchase, hire, booking or warranty claim, is between you and that third party.

9. Privacy, cookies and electronic communications

Finepoint Broadcast Limited is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. We handle personal data in accordance with the United Kingdom General Data Protection Regulation, the Data Protection Act 2018 and, where applicable, the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003.

We collect only what we need: information you type into the contact form or send by email; information required to quote for, supply, hire, deliver or support equipment and services; and limited technical information such as device type, approximate location and pages viewed, gathered through the site-wide cookie banner and its associated settings. We rely on the lawful bases of performing a contract, complying with legal obligations, our legitimate interests in running and securing our business, and consent where consent is required, in particular for non-essential cookies and for direct electronic marketing.

We keep personal data only as long as it is needed for the purpose for which it was collected, for the periods required by tax and commercial law, or for as long as is necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. We share data with service providers such as hosting, courier, payment and accounting suppliers only where necessary and under appropriate safeguards. Where data is transferred outside the United Kingdom we put suitable safeguards in place.

You have the right to be informed, to request access to your personal data, to have inaccurate data corrected, to ask for erasure or restriction, to object to certain processing, and to receive data you provided in a portable format. You may withdraw consent to cookies or marketing at any time. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the United Kingdom supervisory authority for data protection.

This page is a summary only. Full detail, including retention periods, the list of processors, cookie categories and how to change your choices in the cookie banner, is set out in our Privacy Policy and our Cookie Policy, which are published on this website. Requests relating to personal data should be sent to pg@productionguild.com; we may ask you to verify your identity before we act on a request.

10. Contracts, online sales, cancellation and refunds

The material on charmixa is information and guidance. A contract for the supply, sale, hire, installation or servicing of equipment comes into existence only when we accept your order, whether by issuing an order confirmation, by dispatching the goods, or by beginning the work.

Prices, specifications, availability and lead times may change. Images and descriptions are provided as a fair representation, but equipment finishes, accessories and packaging can vary, and manufacturers may change specification without notice. We are not responsible for typographical errors, but where an obvious pricing or specification error has occurred we will contact you before proceeding and you may cancel the affected order without charge.

Where you buy as a consumer at a distance, you will normally have the right to cancel within fourteen days of receiving the goods, in accordance with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. Goods must be returned in a condition that allows them to be resold, and certain items, such as sealed audio or video recordings that have been unsealed, custom-configured equipment, and services that have been fully performed with your agreement, are exempt or subject to different rules. Business-to-business transactions are governed by the contract and by our Terms and Conditions.

Our payment terms, invoicing arrangements, late payment position, hire conditions and refund process are described in our Payment and Refund Policy and our Terms and Conditions, both published on this website. If you believe a charge is wrong, or you wish to return an item, please contact us first at pg@productionguild.com or on +44 (0)20 3427 4400 so that we can resolve the matter quickly.

11. Applicable law, competent courts and dispute rights

This website is operated from the United Kingdom. Your use of the site, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with it, is governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except as set out below.

If you are a consumer resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may bring proceedings in the courts of your own part of the United Kingdom, and you benefit from any mandatory consumer protection rules in force where you live. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you may also be able to bring proceedings in the courts of your own country of residence, and nothing in this page affects rights you have under the mandatory law of that country.

We would much rather resolve a problem directly than litigate it. If you are unhappy with anything, please raise it with us first at pg@productionguild.com or on +44 (0)20 3427 4400, giving us the order or reference number, a description of the issue and what you would like us to do. We will investigate and respond within a reasonable period. If the matter concerns a consumer contract and we cannot resolve it, you may be entitled to use an alternative dispute resolution provider; we are not obliged to participate in alternative dispute resolution, but we will tell you clearly whether we are willing to do so. Consumers may also seek advice from Citizens Advice or a similar consumer body. Nothing in this section prevents either party from applying to a court for urgent relief.

12. Changes to this page, complaints and last-updated date

We may update this page to reflect changes in the law, in our business, in our contact arrangements or in the way the site operates. The current version is always the one published on this page, and the date at the top shows when it was last revised. Where a change is material, we will make that clear on the site, and we may ask you to acknowledge it before continuing to use a service that depends on it. Continued use of the site after a change takes effect means that you accept the updated version.

If you have a question about the disclosures on this page, a complaint about the site or its content, or a request for information that we are required to provide, please contact us at pg@productionguild.com, on +44 (0)20 3427 4400, or in writing to Suite 18, 2nd Floor, Building 6, Hercules Way, Warner Bros Studios Leavesden, Watford, WD25 7GS. Please include enough detail for us to identify the matter and to reply to you properly.

13. Plain-text summary of the disclosures shown in the site footer

The footer displayed throughout charmixa repeats the mandatory disclosures in the following form:
